PURCHASING
REQUIREMENTS

Letter jackets are sold on your honor which means you are not required to bring in paperwork to prove that you have lettered. If you say you've lettered, we believe you!

PRODUCTION
SPEED

When you buy a letter jacket for the first time, we usually have the jacket and patches in stock so it only takes about two weeks. If your items need to be special ordered, it can take six or more weeks.

AVERAGE
COST

Average cost of a letter jacket with the first round of patches is approximately $325-$350. Most of this final price depends on how many patches you need.

INSTRUCTIONS

The knit trim and wool body can be hand washed using a washcloth and Woolite. The leather sleeves should only be cleaned with leather cleaning lotion.

What do I need to bring in to purchase a letter jacket?

We definitely need the student who is going to wear the jacket come in to try it on before customizing. We also will ask which activities you lettered in so it would be a good idea to have that information on hand. Finally, if you are ready to place your order, you'll need to bring in your deposit of half down.

How much does a letter jacket cost?

The base letter jacket price includes the jacket (size small through XL), the H patch for the front, the Raiders script patch for the back, the year you graduate and your name embroidered on the left chest. This base package starts at $290 and goes up in price from there depending on the size of jacket you need (tall sizes and plus sizes are more) and the number of patches you need for your jacket. A typical jacket usually costs between $325 and $350 when you first buy it.

How many bars (stripes) do I need to buy?

Our school is a bit different than other schools. We do one bar for each school year you letter. If you letter in two activities in one year, you still just get one bar to represent that you lettered that school year. The most bars you should ever see on an HHS letter jacket is six which is for students who started lettering early (in 7th grade).

I'm still growing so how do I know what size I should get?

Generally speaking, girls tend to stop growing around age 15 while boys tend to keep growing up until age 19. We have many sizes and three body styles to choose from to get the best fit. To outfit a freshman boy with a letter jacket, we go into it knowing he will either wear it big as a freshman or small as a senior. It will come down to a personal choice made after trying on the options.

What's the best way to buy a letter jacket as a gift?

Letter jackets are customized with patches which personalize this jacket just for you. Once the jacket has been personalized, it cannot be returned. As such, it's very important to try on the letter jacket before customizing. If you'd like to give a letter jacket as a gift, we recommend you purchase a blank letter jacket to wrap up instead. The blank letter jacket can then be brought back in for customizing or exchanged for a different size before customizing.

How do I know if I am eligible to purchase a letter jacket?

What happens when I letter next year?

Just bring in your jacket and let us know what patches you need to add. We'll sew the new patches on for you and call you when your jacket is ready. If the patches you need are in stock it usually takes about one week to add on new patches. Click here for the high school staff directory.

I received a blue H patch from the school. Is that for the jacket?

Our letter jackets are royal blue so we have a gold colored patch that goes on the actual jacket. The patch provided by the school can be used as a scrap booking item. Click here for the high school staff directory.
