Why Choose Tackle Twill Embroidery?

Because you want a large, bold, high-end looking embroidered design with impact. Tackle Twill Embroidery is most often seen on professional team jerseys and college sweatshirts. This is a great technique to keep embroidery costs in check by replacing large areas of embroidery with fabric. Although the standard type of fabric used is twill (hence the name tackle-twill), other materials, such as felt or fleece, can be used as well.

MINIMUM QUANTITY

The minimum number of garments we tackle twill with a design is six. The minimum number we tackle twill with just a name is one.

PRODUCTION SPEED

Average production speed is two weeks. Large volume orders or peak seasons may require more time.

COST FACTORS

Buying a higher number of garments makes the price go down. Making your design larger and adding more colors of twill makes the price go up.

IMAGE LAYOUT

Standard adult design size is 11" wide x 10" high. However, items such as pockets, zippers and laces may reduce that size.

FINISHING TOUCH

Tackle twill embroidery is firmer than regular embroidery. It feels smooth and it's slightly raised.

CARE GUIDE

Turn insdie out and launder in cold water on regular cycle. Do not use bleach. Dry on medium heat.

FEATURED EMBROIDERY SPECIAL

Yes if it's a name or number (personalization). Otherwise, the minimum for embroidery (designs or other text) is 6 garments.
The cost is dependent on many variables: the number of imprint locations, size of your design, the number of colors of twill (layers) and the number of garments in your order. The variables that affect tackle twill cost the most are:
1. The number of garments in your order and
2. The number of colors of twill in your embroidered design.
Each location you would like to embroider requires additional time and setups. However, the cost of an additional location is usually quite inexpensive. If you are interested in printing more than one location, it's worth checking into. However, if you are trying to stick to a tight budget, we recommend reducing the number of print locations to just one position.
We only require a deposit of half down at the time you place your order and the balance isn't due until the order is finished. We accept MasterCard, Visa, Discover and American Express so if you've already received a quote from us, you could call in your payment over the phone. Super simple!
To find out more about our preferred file types, please view our artwork specifications page. If you do not have artwork in the preferred formats, don't worry; we can redraw whatever you need even if you drew the concept on a napkin.
Sure. Let's say you have a high school track team and a middle school track team getting the same design on warmups but the middle school team needs a different color warmup than the high school team. We can do that as long as it is the same design and thread color on all of the shirts. If you decide to change the twill color for the second group of warmups, we can do that. The extra labor time will be built into the price of each shirt overall.
Yes, if you order six or more garments with the same tackle twill design, we will create a proof and email it to you for approval so you can make sure everything is just right before we even start.

If you order a name or number on less than six garments, two stock font options will be made available and no proof will be sent.
